SINGLE ORIGIN COFFEE VS. COFFEE BLENDS | WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

Single origin coffee and coffee blends are two different approaches to coffee roasting and brewing, each with its own benefits and flavor profiles.

WHAT IS SINGLE ORIGIN COFFEE?

Single origin coffee refers to coffee beans that are sourced from a single region, estate, or farm, and are roasted and brewed as a single varietal. Single origin coffee allows you to taste the unique flavor profile of the coffee beans from a particular origin, and can showcase the nuances of that specific terroir, altitude, and soil conditions. Single origin coffee is often associated with specialty coffee and may be more expensive due to the limited availability and higher quality of the beans.

WHAT IS A COFFEE BLEND?

Coffee blends, on the other hand, are made by combining beans from different origins, often with different roast levels, to create a balanced and consistent flavor profile. Coffee blends can be designed to achieve a specific flavor profile or to maintain consistency across different batches.
