We are very impressed with the smoothness and taste of this coffee. It is crazy to taste what coffee is supposed to taste like (unlike the burnt coffee bits many of us are used to.)
For context, I either make cold brew or pour over. While I feel that I waste a lot of potential using this as cold brew; having a pour over of this Ethiopian totally validates my purchase!!! I'm not a huge fan of fruit forward coffee on most days; I gravitate to less aggressive, subtle flavors. This Yirgacheffe is a very well balanced bean with a very pleasant black tea background at higher brew temps. Fruity notes of lemon acidity do come through as the cup starts to cool down slightly. The Black Tea note shines prominently in the initial sip and give a wonderful structure for the flavor development on the tongue. I'd say this is a winner.
It's flavorful and super fresh. I've tried several brands of coffee beans, but this is my favorite.
My go to coffee for at home espresso. Honestly doesn’t get better than this.
After a 12 oz bag, I found the espresso to be a little to light. I usually drink my espresso with some oat milk, and the oat milk over powered the espresso. Drinking it straight, or as an americano, the flavor was very good. In general, I like twitch espresso better, but I'm not disappointed that I tried Spitball.
